China announce 24-man roster for 2023 AFC Asian Cup

China's national football team has announced a 24-player roster for the upcoming 2023 AFC Asian Cup and 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers.

New head coach Aleksandar Jankovic, who was appointed last Friday, has notably called up Wu Lei and Ai Kesen, who is currently a free agent after parting ways with Brazilian club Gremio in January.

The team will hold training camps in Haikou, Hainan Province and New Zealand from March 1 to 27, with former internationals Shao Jiayi, Zheng Zhi and Chen Tao serving as assistant coaches.

The full roster is as follows:

Wuhan Three Towns: Liu Dianzuo, Deng Hanwen, Liu Yiming, Xie Pengfei, Ren Hang and He Chao

Shandong Taishan: Wang Dalei, Liu Binbin, Liu Yang and Chen Pu

Shanghai Port: Wu Lei, Yan Junling, Zhang Linpeng, Jiang Guangtai, Li Ang, Xu Xin and Li Shuai

Henan Songshan Longmen: Wang Shangyuan

Shanghai Shenhua: Wu Xi

Dalian Pro: Lin Liangming

Changchun Yatai: Tan Long

Guangzhou FC: Wei Shihao

Dalian Football Association: Sun Guowen

Free agent: Ai Kesen
